Our Mission
At the Global Roots Foundation, we believe strong communities start with strong foundations. Each person is shaped by their roots: family, experiences, and environment. Our mission is to support those roots by providing resources and opportunities through global efforts in education, health, and community growth. We partner with communities to expand access, foster leadership, and support programs that spark long-term change. By helping people grow from where they are, we plant the seeds for a more connected, resilient, and sustainable future.

Education
We believe education is the first step toward lasting change. A Message from the Founder
As a pediatric nurse at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, I’ve had the privilege of caring for children and supporting families during some of their most vulnerable moments, especially on the liver and kidney transplant unit, where I see firsthand the importance of long-term wellness and family-centered care. Over time, I realized that so much of a child’s health is shaped not just in hospitals but in homes, schools, and communities.
That realization is what led me to start the Global Roots Foundation.
I founded this organization with the hope of reaching beyond the hospital walls to support families in practical, meaningful ways. Our mission is to provide access to health, education, and community resources that help children grow up supported and strong.
From that vision, the Global Roots Health Initiative was born, a hands-on outreach program focused on prevention, wellness education, and making health accessible to every family. Together, through both the foundation and the health initiative, we’re working to build healthier communities from the roots up, with care, connection, and hope at the heart of everything we do.
